Terms & Conditions

Legal Disclaimer

By registering for, purchasing, or participating in any classes, programs, or services offered by Crystal Clear Badminton Academy (the "Club"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Parents or legal guardians must register on behalf of participants under 18 years of age and provide explicit consent to these terms, including all risk assumptions and payment obligations. If you do not agree, you should not register or participate.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before a scheduled class will have their session credit returned to their package

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours will forfeit their session credit with no additional fee charged

  • No monetary refunds will be issued for cancelled sessions under any circumstances

No Cancellations, Refunds, or Credits

All sales are final. No cancellations, refunds, transfers, or credits will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Scheduling conflicts

  • Illness or injury

  • Personal or family circumstances

  • Change of mind

  • Dissatisfaction with sessions attended

Rescheduling (Makeup Class Policy)

A maximum of 2 makeup classes per 4-class package are permitted, subject to the following conditions:

  • All rescheduling must be completed through your member account on our website at least 48 hours before your scheduled class

  • For Sunday classes, this means rescheduling by Thursday 11:59pm

  • Rescheduling limits per purchase:

    • 4-Class Package — maximum 2 reschedules per package

    • Single Class — maximum 1 reschedule

    • Tryout Class — maximum 1 reschedule

  • Late rescheduling requests made within 72 hours will forfeit the session — no credits, extensions, or makeups will be provided

  • Makeups are subject to class availability per training schedule

Class Validity and Expiry

To ensure consistent scheduling and court availability, all class credits are subject to the following expiration periods from the date of purchase:

  • 4-Class Package — valid for 3 months

  • Single Class — valid for 1 month

  • Tryout Class — valid for 3 weeks

Policy Details:

  • All classes must be attended within the specified timeframe — unused credits will automatically expire and be forfeited

  • Expiry dates are final and will not be extended due to health issues, personal injuries, travel, school conflicts, or other personal commitments

  • Class credits are assigned to the specific student profile and cannot be shared or transferred to another individual

Equipment and Attire

  • Participants must come prepared with the following:

  • Badminton racket

  • Indoor non-marking shoes

  • Appropriate sportswear

  • The Club provides practice shuttlecocks. If a participant does not have a racket, they must notify CCBA at least 48 hours in advance. Non-compliance with equipment requirements may result in denied entry without a refund.

Facility Rules and Spectator

  • No spectators are permitted in the gym, including guardians and family members

  • Exceptions require prior approval from Club management — contact Crystal directly

  • The Club reserves the right to remove any unauthorized persons from the facility

  • Participants are expected to respect the facility, equipment, coaches, and fellow students at all times

  • Any damage to facility equipment caused by a participant may result in the participant being held financially responsible

Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk

  • Participants acknowledge that badminton is a physical activity that carries inherent risks of injury

  • By registering, participants and/or their guardians voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit to participate

  • CCBA, its coaches, and staff are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during training sessions

  • Participants with pre-existing medical conditions are advised to consult a physician before participating

  • CCBA reserves the right to ask any participant to stop training if they appear unfit or at risk of injury

  • CCBA reserves the right to ask any participant to stop training if they appear unfit or at risk of injury

Group Class Rules

  • A minimum number of participants is required to run each class

  • If the minimum is not met, CCBA reserves the right to cancel the session with advance notice

  • In the event of a CCBA-initiated cancellation, affected students will receive a full session credit returned to their package — no cash refunds will be issued

  • CCBA reserves the right to combine class levels at its discretion when necessary

Payments & Chargebacks

  • All payments via Wix are final

  • Chargebacks incur a CA$50 administrative fee plus recovery costs

  • You must provide evidence of service delivery to dispute successfully

  • CCBA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for any participant who initiates an unwarranted chargeback

Code of Conduct

  • All participants are expected to:

  • Treat coaches, staff, and fellow students with respect

  • Follow instructions from coaches at all times

  • Maintain appropriate behaviour on and off the court

  • Arrive on time — late arrivals may not be permitted to join an ongoing session

  • CCBA reserves the right to remove any participant from the program without refund if they engage in disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour.

Photography & Media

  • CCBA may occasionally take photos or videos during sessions for promotional purposes on our website and social media channels. By registering, you consent to being photographed or filmed during sessions. 

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including the Ontario Consumer Protection Act and PIPEDA. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved under Ontario jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

  • Crystal Clear Badminton Academy reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued participation in our programs following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
